Tariff 2023-4 Season (we are now open for booking ALL YEAR)
Prices are per night, and vary from £85 to £130 per night, depending on the season. Weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday benefit from 20% discount if booked direct from the availability widget on this website. Prices include bed linen and towels. The electricity is now fully included in the price you pay, but please can you aim to use it economically. Our historical cottage is a listed building, and we're delighted to say that we now are fully double glazed. Our new electric heaters are making the whole cottage very cosy...and they are fairly efficient to run.
Short breaks are available at certain times of year, subject to a minimum booking of 3 or 4 nights in winter and 5 nights in other seasons.

Arrival and Check-in
For driving directions, check the Location page. As you approach Meadowside, turn right after the entrance gates (after the little slope). Go right along past the main house and Shetland Cottage is the end one in front of you with the wooden picket fence across the garden. Park anywhere near the gate into the garden.
Once you have opened up using the door key in the keysafe by the door , please return IMMEDIATELY it to the keysafe until you are ready for departure. Once inside the cottage, you'll find keys with a large wooden fob hanging by the door. Please use this for the duration of your stay (we find it’s less easy to lose!). Please make sure you put the front door keysback in the keysafe after you’ve locked up when you leave.
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. The cottage isn't huge, so we would simply ask that you make sure your pet is kept off the furniture and beds, anddoesn't scratch the doors, and that you clear up any mess. The garden is large and a great spot for exercise, and the whole grounds and the field adjacent to the entrance give more space for a run about. It goes without saying that the local woods and countryside make fabulous areas for exploring.
